How Coaching Works

All coaching sessions are held over video and last 60 minutes. Some packages include optional 45‑minute check‑ins to help you stay accountable and maintain momentum. The most comprehensive package includes three check‑ins, and additional ones can be added if you want more support.

Before we begin, we’ll schedule a free discovery call to talk through your goals, answer questions, and make sure the coaching structure fits your needs. You’ll walk away with clarity about the process and confidence in your next steps.

Meet Your Coach

I’m Leslie, a book coach, author, and educator who takes your book seriously… while still making sure we have fun along the way. Writing a nonfiction book isn’t just a bucket‑list item. It’s a chance to create a product you’re proud of that reflects your expertise, strengthens your credibility, and genuinely helps others.

Even though I write a lot of fiction now, my roots are in nonfiction. It’s the genre I started in, the one I read most, and the one I understand on a deep, structural level. I know what makes a nonfiction book compelling and credible.

I also bring a strong business background to my coaching. I understand how a book fits into your professional ecosystem: your brand, your reputation, your offers, and your long‑term goals. Your book isn’t just words on a page; it’s an asset and a strategic tool.

And because I’m an educator at heart, I don’t just walk you through a checklist. I teach you how to think about your book, your message, and your audience in a way that helps you grow as a writer and as a professional.

My role is to guide you with structure, strategy, and support, and make the process engaging, meaningful, and yes, enjoyable.

4 Sessions (60 mins each)

Turn your idea into a structured, chapter‑by‑chapter plan and begin writing with efficiency and momentum.

By the end of this package, you’ll have:

• A complete, professional outline
• A chapter structure that supports your expertise
• A writing plan tailored to your schedule
• Early pages or chapters drafted with feedback
• A clear sense of how your book will take shape

MANUSCRIPT Package

7 Sessions (60 mins each) + 3 Optional Check-ins (45 mins each)

Develop and execute your manuscript with expert guidance, strategic feedback, and support that keeps you moving forward.

By the end of this package, you’ll have:

• A significantly developed or completed manuscript
• Chapters strengthened with editorial feedback
• A clear plan for revisions and refinement
• Guidance on next steps (editing, publishing, positioning)
• A manuscript that aligns with your professional goals
